It seems my greatest issue as a blogger now is my balance. Between my work life and that of my personal life. The comforts taken are shown through the foods made. I have been yearning for some delicious Tacos for some time. This next to listening to relaxing inspirational kinds of music cooking is a good release. Especially when developing a writer’s block. Happy to know that tonight was a Taco night this is my blogger recipe.
Mexican Taco Night Blogger’s Recipe
This is a homemade recipe of how to create your own tacos from home.
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup escallion, scallion or green onions
- 1 large diced tomato
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tbsp crushed pepper seasoning
- 1 tbsp Goya All purpose seasoning (sodium free)
- 1 tsp Garlic salt
- Easy melt cheese
- 10 taco shells (hard or soft)
- hot sauce (if desired)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin)
Heat the saucepan on medium heat, add a tbsp of oil to the pan. Once heated add the onions, escallion (scallion or green onions) and the green peppers.
Stir to prevent from burning. Once translucent, add ground beef to the mixture. Take care to break apart the meat to prevent large clumps from cooking together with a utensil.
Allow cooking for 6-8 mins at which point you will add the Goya Seasoning, the crushed peppers, and the garlic salt. Stir to disperse consistently. Break apart the meat some more with a utensil. (a fork or cooking utensil.)
If there is an excess of grease sprung off in the pan strain of the excess oil and return man to heat to continue the process.
Once completely cooked and achievement of being thoroughly cooked, no pinkness present in the meat. Meat should be grey in color. Strain off the oil in the pan.
Add Easy melt cheese turn heat to a low to allow the cheese to melt without burning.
Place meat in the desired taco shell of either hard or soft (warm if desired). Add lettuce and diced tomatoes of desired quantities.
